Sarah & Josh's Elegant White Wedding at The San Francisco Mint

The SAN FRANCISCO MINT
- AS SEEN ON STYLE ME PRETTY -

Sarah and Josh were one of the sweetest couples I have ever met, gifted with strength and beauty, and the most generous, loving spirits. They met in the military, and their relationship continued to grow despite frequent goodbyes and long distances. Sarah’s aesthetic is elegant, simple, and refined, which we strove to carry out throughout her wedding design. We felt a clean palette of whites, pale greys, and dusty blues would complement the weathered stone of The San Francisco Mint beautifully, and greenery was brought in to add an organic touch for their elegant white wedding.

Sarah traded her combat boots for a pair of dove grey heels with gorgeous gold detailing on the back - her dream pair of shoes that she had been eyeing long before her wedding. We carried the elegant gold design throughout her wedding in her gold-foiled invitations, flatware and chargers, and detailing on their wedding cake. Thoughtful touches were incorporated throughout the event to reflect their relationship and families, including lace from Sarah’s mother’s wedding gown sewn onto her veil in loving memory, pictures from their travels together serving as table numbers, and the heirloom charm Sarah added to her bouquet.

Sarah and Josh celebrated their wedding on the eve of Josh’s deployment, and following their tradition of eating outdoors together each time they need to part ways, their wedding reception was held in the open-air courtyard at the center of The San Francisco Mint. They also chose to have their ceremony take place in the courtyard, so we transformed the space from ceremony to reception while guests were inside at cocktail hour which took place in the Column Room. The illusion arch which served to frame the altar during the ceremony also doubled as a beautiful backdrop for their sweetheart table.

Their wedding cake incorporated details inspired from the gold adornments on the back of Sarah’s heels, and the gold foiling from their invitation suites. It was finished off with a fresh touch of fruit and florals, echoing Sarah’s bouquet and tablescape design.
