Read MoreDuring our first discussion about the concept behind Jeremy Chou’s one-day workshop in San Francisco, we both decided we wanted to depart from our norm to stretch ourselves creatively. For him, that was shooting a modern concept as opposed to the lush, romantic concepts of his past workshops. I decided to challenge myself by stepping away from the neutral color palettes typical of weddings and selected tones of burnt sienna, dusty blue, and pale gray. I envisioned the qualities of the bride who would get married in the design I was creating – bold, modern, and passionate.
Read MoreThis shoot is inspired by the idea of a bride waiting at sea for her love. The story opens with a handwritten love letter and hand-drawn map leading to the ocean. A small table scape takes its cue from the coastal landscape with a gray velvet table cloth, sand linen napkins, pearl chargers and delicate vellum place cards set in oyster shells. The centerpiece pulls in the greens of the surrounding hills.
