ABOUT natalie

Owner, Lead Planner & Designer

The most rewarding experience for me is seeing my couples relaxed and carefree on their wedding day, knowing their event is in good hands. My aim is to create an experience for you and your guests, moments of magic that you'll carry with you as you begin your journey as a married couple. For those few hours, I want your guests to take in your love and connection, the breathtaking details that transport them to another place, the delicious food and good company - engaging them in an artfulness and intimacy that stems from your love story.

As a second-generation Asian American woman, designing for diverse couples seeking to honor their heritage is a process close to my heart. My degree in Japanese Language & Literature (with a focus on contemporary Japanese art history and classical theater & poetry) and my love of modern Japanese architecture heavily inform my design aesthetic, with many weddings and editorials in my portfolio reflecting minimal Japanese design mingled with laid-back Californian inspirations.

When I'm not dreaming about weddings, you can find me learning how to shoot film, cuddling with my cats Miso and Haru, or cooking meals for friends with my husband. I love snuggling in bed on rainy days, sipping on ice cold cups of boba, and seeking to glorify God with the beauty I create.

about Michelle

Lead Coordinator

I am a lover of all things celebratory - small or grand! My journey with weddings began as an intern for a wedding company and loved every aspect of it. The world of weddings was very eye opening, especially coming from the corporate world. I’ve planned everything from corporate celebrations, summits and meetings - soon to realize that sometimes the corporate world is a bit limiting. But when it comes to weddings, there really are no boundaries to one’s imagination and dreams.

The most rewarding experience for me is seeing everything fall into place the day of the wedding - from all the little details to the big moments of two becoming one. I love how each wedding is unique to the couple that speaks of their story! And being a part of Natalie Choi Events since 2019 has been an absolute dream, where the magic of meticulous planning to flawlessly executing every detail happens. There’s never a dull moment in the world of weddings and I’m lovin’ it!
