Dawn & Jordan are one of the most stylish couples we’ve ever had the honor of designing for, and their wedding day reflected that throughout every detail. Staying true to their style, we applied a minimal, chic, and modern approach when designing their wedding. We balanced those elements with romantic touches to bring in warmth as they exchanged their vows surrounded by their closest friends & family.

The center of the venue space featured black beams in the shape of an “M”, which none of us were keen to have be the backdrop of the ceremony, although there was no other way to work around it. We decided to completely cover the beams with foliage and florals to create a backdrop that would surround Dawn & Jordan, evoking the feeling of being married in a garden rather than under exposed black beams. This floral installation of epic proportions became the centerpiece of floral décor for the wedding, later repurposed into the backdrop of their sweetheart table! We additionally placed two aisle marker arrangements at the front of the aisle, to add to the feeling of being married in a garden.

We carried the neutral color palette into the reception tables, selecting pale grey linens and a soft, draping table runner paired with matte white plates and sleek black flatware. We styled the natural linen napkin in an off-centered fold over the plate with our menu also placed centered to create a non-traditional setting that still feels clean and minimal. We kept our rentals on the tablescape in a neutral palette so that the colors of our floral centerpieces would be the central visual interest on the table. Our florist selected a palette of blooms in luscious and romantic tones, arranged in an airy, ikebana-esque style. Votives in a smokey glass were scattered along the table to complete their candlelight dinner setting.
